Online Book Store - Ride; detroit Tigers - Get on the Bus &!
Some people may think twice about heading downtown on the 24th, with Detroit temperatures freezing people in the downtown area in their tracks and the Tigers' less than enthusiastic season last year. Comerica Park is quiet for now but soon enough this year's TigerFest will be the signal of one of the largest Winter Caravan's in the Detroit Tigers' history.
2-bus tours, and you can safely say the Tigers are anxious to get their prowl on around the town and into Ohio for a Winter Caravan that's planned to make at least 20 stops during their three day. It's only a matter of time, but for die hard Tigers' fans.
Clete Thomas and broadcaster Mario Impemba, chris Lambert, michael Holliman, jeff Larish, brent Clevlen, marcus Thames, ryan Raburn, eddie Bonine, appearances are planned by players Clay Rapada.
The west bus will begin with a rally in Kalamazoo at Western Michigan University and travel to locations such as Spring Arbor University and Albion College. The American Red Cross and Detroit's Fire Academy Training Center, the Metro Bus will be visiting Dearborn's The Henry Ford To DMC Childrens Hospital. Will be making various stops at destinations galore, as this year's Tigers' Winter Caravan busses have been coined, the Metro Bus and the West Bus.
Armando Galarraga and Gerald Laird, kyle Bloom, casper Wells, wilkin Ramirez, bobby Seay, freddy Dolsi, matt Treanor, and Fernando Rodney, andy Van Slyke and Rafael Belliard, coaches Jeff Jones, seats on the Metro Bus will be occupied by assistant GM Al Avila.
Even for native Detroiters who are used to Michigan winters, should certainly be a welcome change from the frigid temperatures and the continuing blizzard-like snow falls that have been making this winter season in Detroit and surrounding areas one that is colder and less desirable than usual, which starts in late February, florida, spring Training in Lakeland, although it remains to be seen how the Tigers will fair once baseball season starts.
Florida, which is also in Lakeland, nearly as long is the team's 44-year history of exhibition games at the Joker Marchant Stadium. The longest standing relationship of any major league team and Spring Training host, the Tigers have been hosted by Lakeland for 73 years; fYI.
Spring Training officially begins for the Tigers on February 25 when the Tigers will face off against the Atlanta Braves.
Who is returning for his fifth season, who joined the Tigers in 2000 will be accounted for along with Rod Allen, dan Dickerson. Jim Price will be returning for his 15th season. The usual line up of broadcasters will be on hand as well.
The only possible down side would be the fact that Isringhauser just had elbow surgery in September. Bringing 293 saves and being 22nd on the all-time list, isringhauser could be a welcome addition. Whose agent is in talks about a potential contract, one serious consideration is Jason Isringhauser. The Tigers have recently signed talent but have yet to find their closer.
